1. Coleman Beach

This crescent shaped beach is another excellent beaching point. One can see the entire length of the waterfront from here to the South and the towering Morro Rock just to the West. Due to its close proximity to the harbor entrance, the water is often quite clear here, evident by the scuba classes that are often taught here. People with their own kayaks often launch here as it is very close to the Embarcadero. If you want to lay on a towel, soak up some sun, and watch the goings on around the harbor, this beach makes a perfect place to do so.
