2. Sandals Cove

Named after an old salty guy who used to live on his boat anchored here, Sandals Cove is another excellent beaching spot. The small cove is quite deep right up to the sand making it accessible at all tides levels. The high dunes and the orientation of the spit here means that it is also very well protected from the Northwest winds that are common, making it a comfortable place to lounge on the beach. Located only a few hundred yards from our dock, this spot is easily identified by the several pilings stuck in the sand.
